
Comcover Insurance Group was founded in 2003 by Anthony Johnson,
whose insurance and risk managment roots date back some
20 years with his previous involvement in a family owned commercial
insurance agency.
Comcover was formed to fill a critical need in
the marketplace...the lack of true industry specific specialists.
The current marketplace has a glut of commercial insurance agencies
that are generalists that try to serve any business that comes
their way.
We believe
this generalist approach can produce a severe, negative impact
on the business owner.
How can an agent properly analyze the
following: exposures to loss, hazards, proper loss control techniques,
reserve and claim analysis, proper rating classifications, the
carrier marketplace for each industry, industry specific coverage
forms, captive programs and self insurance, if the agent knows
little, if any, about the industry that their customer is involved

Our business model was developed to target the larger middle market
class of business which needs certain services that cannot be provided
by smaller regional agencies and are being underserved by the large
national brokers.
Although the larger national brokers offer vast services to their large national
account clients, those that are in the upper middle market often do not get the
attention that they need because they are simply too small when compared to the average
size of the rest of the national broker's client base.
